CEOs Salaries and Conditions Award 2006        

Following extensive negotiations, the ISEA is pleased to advise that the DET has made an offer for a new award - Crown Employees (Chief Education Officers - Department of Education and Training) Salaries and Conditions Award - to commence on 1 January 2006 for a period of three years.

The offer includes DET agreement to afford CEOs access to flexible working hours consistent with those afforded Senior Officers. This would settle the Leave Reserved clause outstanding from our last award to afford 'due compensation for excess hours that are worked by CEOs'.

CEO members have been advised of details of the offer in a separate email and their response to the offer is sought by midday Wednesday 21 December 2005.

CEO Induction

In separate negotiations the DET has agreed to work with the ISEA in conducting a one-day induction conference for all CEOs in February 2006. Members will be kept informed.

ISEA Study Tour 2006

Following the very successful study tour to the UK and Germany in September/October this year, the ISEA will organise another tour in 2006, again in September/October. The destination and details will be published as soon as possible next year.
